Using a focused 30-minute session each Monday, Health Storey encourages you to keep your fridge fresh and organized. Pick thirty minutes in the morning or evening and do the following:
- 5 minutes: Throw out expired or leftover items or food you no longer want to eat.
- 10 minutes: Wipe down shelves and drawers with a gentle cleaner (baking soda and water is safe and effective).
- 5 minutes: Clean and organize your designated shelves or bins — group similar items like cheeses, veggies, condiments.
- 5 minutes: Check and clean the door compartments.
- 5 minutes: Place a fresh box of baking soda in the fridge to absorb odors and keep things smelling fresh.
This quick weekly cleaning routine keeps your fridge inviting and helps prevent those sneaky temptations by maintaining order and clarity on what’s inside.
