What to do when you return from a Honeymoon Prep Vacation or, your Honeymoon | List of things to Do
Health Storey USA prepared you for a honeymoon or a couple honeymoon prep vacation. Below is a list of things to work on when you return home. I'm just back from a vacation so I will be focusing on getting back into a daily work schedule.
The Legal & Administrative Updates
Obtain the Marriage Certificate: Request certified copies.
Social Security: Update your name with the Social Security Administration.
Driver’s License & Passport: Take your new SSN card and marriage certificate to the DMV, then apply for a passport update.
The List: Once you have your new ID, update your bank accounts, credit cards, payroll/HR at work, leases or mortgages, and utilities.
Gratitude & Gifting Logistics
Write Thank-You Notes: You have three months post-wedding to write your thank you notes.
Process Registry Returns: Return or exchange duplicate items or gifts you ultimately don't need.
Complete Sets: Make a list of what is missing from your dinnerware sets so that you can ask for those items during Christmas and birthdays to complete your sets.
Wardrobe & Decor Preservation
Clean and Preserve the Dress.
Sell or Donate the Decor from the wedding.
Financial & Household Integration
Combine Finances: Open joint accounts or officially grant each other access to existing ones as organized in your prenuptial agreement.
Decide if you need a post-numptial agreement.
Update Insurance & Beneficiaries: Add each other to health, car, and renter’s/homeowner’s insurance policies.
Memories
- Order photos for your photo book.
